We use both. We have our own laboratory that we use to test our products. For final batch quality testing, we use a third-party testing facility to measure our compounds of interest and to carry out micro-testing for potential toxic substances prior to the products being available for sale.

We are very aware of the varying claims on product packaging and quality of mushrooms in the market as we carry out testing on these.

70% of the 19 mushroom supplements tested did not even contain reishi; of the remaining 30%, there is no indication of the quality or efficacy of these mushrooms.
Without calling brands out, we have a simple message to consumers.
If you do not know where your mushroom comes from or what extraction process is used, and you cannot access the batch-specific data...you have no idea if the mushroom contains what it says on the label.

Chaga cannot be grown in the laboratory. Our Chaga is grown outdoors in the pristine, clean forests of Finland. Resishi is grown on birch tree logs. The other mushrooms are grown in a controlled environment.
